In some ways I think that people like to imagine that they are alone. Each man is an island, we say, drifting through melancholy waters tainted with blood and tears. We take solace in our loneliness. But really, we are not alone. There is a faint thread, a turquoise ribbon, which connects us with everyone else just because we are alive.
That’s the reason why I know that you can keep going - because you are brave and smart and strong, and because in some small way that I can’t understand, we are all connected to each other. Keep going. Stay strong. Do it for you and for me and for all of us who want to be better. Nothing is impossible.
